Robin is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) who serves as the manager of the UCSF complex care management programs for both adults and pediatrics. Robin has been a registered nurse for over 34 years and has been at UCSF as a nurse practitioner for more than 24 of those years. She has vast experience both inpatient and outpatient, spending her early career working in medical/surgical and post-anesthesia care units, with her NP career focused on complex surgical patients in both the inpatient and outpatient space with the Department of Surgery, then a transition to all patients with health complexity in the ambulatory space with the Office of Population Health. She has been in a management role for more than 8 years, providing leadership to frontline staff delivering complex care management, including nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and community healthcare workers. She has designed and implemented numerous care delivery models with a high success rate of impacting health outcome measures. Over her career she has served as preceptor or mentor to countless registered nursing undergraduate students and nurse practitioner graduate school students, as well as physician assistant students, surgical residents, and aspiring nursing leaders.
Robin holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from California State University Chico and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Pennsylvania, is a state certified Public Health Nurse and a nationally certified Nurse Practitioner. Robin is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
