Mauricio Roman
Operations Coordinator, Clinical Programs
Mauricio Roman is the Operations Coordinator for the Clinical Programs at the Office of Population Health. He has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry and is committed to bringing healing to people. As Operations Coordinator, he is responsible for stewardship of purchasing as a liaison between vendors and the UCSF procurement team; and running and maintaining smooth operations of the different programs. Among other tasks, Mauricio is also responsible and manages the Director´s calendar. Previously, he was part of the Outreach Team for Care Gap Closure. He is an International Medical Graduate from Nicaragua.
Outside of UCSF, he serves on the Father’s Club Board of Directors at the Saint Ignatius Preparatory in San Francisco. He volunteers with the Medical Team from the UCSF Sports Medicine team, and he enjoys traveling with family and exploring foods from different cultures. He likes extreme sports such as biking, snowboarding, and paintball and is a certified Scuba Diver.
