Monica Cheng is a geriatrician and internist who currently serves as the Medical Director for Care at Home, providing home-based primary care to homebound adults in San Francisco, working collaboratively with a team of healthcare coordinators, nurses, social workers, nurse practitioners, and physicians. With the Care at Home team, she enjoys being able to provide compassionate care to frail adults and educational experiences for various trainees.
She is from Texas and completed her undergraduate work in Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her medical education and internal medicine residency at the University of Texas in Houston/ McGovern Medical School before moving to San Francisco for Geriatrics fellowship training. She is a member of the American Geriatrics Society and serves as a consultant for the San Francisco Adult Maltreatment Multidisciplinary Team.
